Hiring a Wedding Photographer or Videographer?

Whether you choose to hire us or another company for your wedding, here are some important things to consider.

1. The shooter absolutely MUST know about wedding photography and/or videography.

• You don't want someone who has never shot a wedding to shoot yours.
• Just because they charge high rates doesn't necessarily mean they know what they are doing.
  
• Remember that wedding photography is different because there are moments that can't be repeated if the photographer misses the shot.

2. The photographer MUST work well with everyone at the wedding while still taking charge.

• Be wary of photographers who don't give good direction for group portraits.
• Make sure your photographer has a good personality and is easy to get along with.

3. Your photographer MUST be able to take the reigns without being overbearing.

• Don't hire someone who keeps asking you questions and doesn't take charge.
• On the flip side, don't hire someone who refuses to acknowledge suggestions and concerns you have.

4. Your photographer MUST be honest and tell you everything up front.

• Make sure you know exactly what you are getting for your money - you don't want surprises!
• If something is unclear on the photographer's website, ask them about it.
• Read reviews on www.yelp.com because it can be more trustworthy than a photographer's website.
